Performance Test Centrifugal Compressor: Guaranteed Optimum Performance

At Rivair we have successfully performed the performance test of a centrifugal compressor with a flow rate of 53 Nm 3/min and a pressure of 10 bar, realized for one of our most prestigious customers in the Gulf. Our team assembled the airend using components available in stock, including engine, baseplate and air coolers, completing the entire compressor and predisposing it for start-up.
To perform the test, we used external generators, chillers and water recovery tanks rented from Atlas Copco, starting the unit at full load and exceeding the license plate values. The compressor has been tested up to a pressure of 12 bar, ensuring maximum reliability. After about 2 hours of operation, all operating parameters including vibration and flow were collected by a thermal mass flow meter with automatic temperature compensation.
This start-up simulation enabled the customer to verify that the overhaul work was carried out in a good way, that the compressor performance was not affected and that, thanks to the complete overhaul, it had returned to the registration values. Another excellent result for Rivair and a fully satisfied customer.
