The Meeting Between Fashion and Entrepreneurship
Forbes has written about us.:
Barbara Rizzi is the founder of the eponymous luxury brand, specializing in the production and distribution of women's clothing and fashion accessories. The brand boasts a history of Italian entrepreneurship, where work and family are the keys to success.
Who is Barbara Rizzi
Growing up, Barbara was immersed in a family deeply connected to work. Despite not being the longed-for male heir to carry on the family name, she nurtured a passion for fashion and handmade clothing from an early age. She learned crochet, cutting, and sewing from her paternal grandmother and knitting, darning, and embroidery from her maternal grandmother. After completing high school, she attended the Carlo Secoli school in Milan for three years, earning a diploma in fashion design and industrial figurines while working as a supervisor at AirOne.
After her father's death, Barbara took over the family business, putting her dream of becoming a fashion designer on hold. Fifteen years later, the family business became a leading company in the compressed air industry. In July 2021, Rivair Air Compressor launched the Br Atelier brand. Despite their differences, both businesses share Barbara's passion for her work, growing in tandem and feeding each other. The Br Atelier logo, depicting an impeller, symbolizes this strong connection, representing a vital component of Rivair's compressors.
The Brand
Barbara Rizzi's creations, since the launch of the first collection in 2022, target strong, modern, and independent women—bold, sophisticated, yet feminine. The brand's hallmark is jackets with military-style shoulder pads. Symbolically, the brand features a peacock, representing beauty, elegance, love, and rebirth, and a tiger, symbolizing strength, courage, and determination. Through her collections, Barbara conveys a message: "True strength comes from within, but the dress is the faithful companion in every battle, the comfortable armor worn every day."
